A Historic Bank becomes a Catering Venue
The Cinnaminson Bank and Trust Company was constructed in 1907, and the bank served the communities of Cinnaminson and Riverton, New Jersey for many years. When the bank moved to a different location, the new owners came to JRP Architects to develop a plan for a change of use from a bank to a catering facility. The intent was to keep the historic feel and some of the elements of the old bank but incorporate all the necessary modern amenities. The space was reimagined to become a spacious Banquet Hall, complete with a vault, for hosting large events. The downstairs space also includes an entry vestibule, two bathrooms to accommodate guests, and a kitchen for food preparation. Upstairs, the gallery area was designed to include a workspace, a conference room. storage spaces, and an additional bathroom. The original bank became The Bank on Main, a serviceable yet elegant event venue that retained the history of the original building while including all the modern conveniences the client needed to create a successful business.
